Rick Kamal

President

Rick is an education services and information technology industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience leading large companies and building award winning products. Rick joined EduNova in 2011to help students learn how to study, how to get better grades faster and achieve their academic success. He collaborated with experts from Boston University, Chicago University, Duke University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Stanford University to develop the Most Complete Student Success System, MCS3.

Prior to leading EduNova, Rick held many executive positions in the education-consulting field. Numerous prestigious educational institutions, including Harvard University, have sought his expertise. He is the co-inventor of 3 US patents and has 5 additional US patents pending.

He is the chairman of the board of Zendigo Group Inc. He also serves on the board of directors of Kinetic Potential Explorers. His business, technology and education expertise is internationally sought.

Rick is an alumnus of Boston University, MIT Sloan School of Management and Stanford University. He is passionate about helping students achieve academic success.

Teena Kamal

Chief Operating Officer

Teena’s services industry and operations career spans 20 years of building successful organizations at Aegis Software Corp, EMC Corporation, and Fidelity Investments.

Prior to joining EduNova, Teena led the development of major consumer advice, guidance and education product for Fidelity Investments – grossing $500M in the first 6 months of operations. Teena also pioneered and launched a breakthrough $80M customer service technology that is currently being used by thousands of customer service representatives.  

During her career Teena has had held several executive positions in education, information technology, insurance, retirement and financial service industries. She consults with several reputed education institutes including Harvard University. She has 3 U.S. patents pending.

Teena has founded several start-ups and currently serves as a Board advisor to Zendigo Group Incorporated. She graduated magna cum laude from Delhi University, India. She is also an alumnus of Harvard University.

Jyotika Bedi

Vice President of Product Research

Jyotika brings over 12 years of educational services industry experience to EduNova. Jyotika has extensive experience with developing both products and services in the education industry. She has been working with students internationally for more than 10 years.

In 2006, Jyotika founded an education and career guidance firm to counsel and guide high school and college students. In this capacity she helped thousands of students realize their career goals and facilitate their admission into reputable U.S. universities.

She is affiliated with IDEA (International Doorway to Education and Athletics) scholarship program. She also had a private psychotherapy counseling practice for more than 5 years helping students and parents with a multitude of complex life stage transition and career-oriented challenges.

She currently consults as an Educational Psychologist to numerous international educational institutions worldwide. Jyotika graduated cum laude from the London School of Economics.

Jana Jugovic

Chief Technology Officer

Jana’s professional focus is on architecting, developing and delivering critical business solutions on multiple platforms. She has depth and expertise in IT service management, IT service architecture, operations engineering, data design and consolidation and business intelligence. 

Jana has 8 years of experience delivering Enterprise class software.
Jana is active in industry standard groups, consortiums and conference boards in the areas of web development, web services, transactional infrastructures and real-time initiatives.

Jana has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Design with a concentration in Web Applications Development from University of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.

Mary Ellen Ellis

Research Director

Mary Ellen is passionate about writing about topics that benefit students. She is a former high school science teacher who loves to research topics and create innovative solutions to help students of all ages.

She holds undergraduate and advanced degrees in biochemistry and chemistry. She specializes in writing about education, health, science, and innovations.

Edith J. Webber

Content Director

Edith is a highly certified educator currently teaching at the high school level. She has been a secondary English and History teacher of all grade levels in Arizona, Wyoming, and Nevada.

Edith is active as an adjunct college instructor for online adult students and holds a Master’s degree in Education and degrees in English and Political Science.

Vladimir Jugovic

Director of User Interface Design

Vlad is passionate about the challenge of creating an excellent user experience while meeting business goals. Vlad has enjoyed designing and developing interactive, multi-media sites on multiple platforms sites for more than 10 years.

Vlad has worked as a visual UI designer on hundreds of interactive Rich Internet Applications (RIA’s). He also designs product packaging, logos, brand images and promotional packages.

His expertise is highly sought-after internationally. He takes pride in delivering great service and outstanding design. He can transform a vision into a multi-media experience that meets all business objectives. He knows user experience and cohesively makes the design come alive.

Sarah Ratliff

Sarah’s expertise in education and health is extensive. She also enjoys writing about these topics along with humor, off the grid, women's and minority issues. She has written 5 books on various aspects of relocation and is considered a relocation expert.

Sarah loves to write and was raised in New York City by two successful writers. In 2007, she and her husband left their careers in
biotech, and bought a farm in Puerto Rico where she discovered her passion for writing and editing.  

Diego Mera

Art Director

Diego is an animator and video production manager with more than 15 years of extensive international experience. He has worked on many projects for BBC, Discovery Channel, TV Globo (Brazil) and many other major companies.

He directs a team of creative and professional artists. He leads all art development including character development, storyboards, stop motion, puppets and other animation. He is also a technology expert in and is well versed in Flash, Maya, RealFlow, Vue and many other animation technologies.

Dave Smith

Voice Talent

Dave is a 20-year voice over veteran and master audio editor.
His voice is well sought-out. He is the in-house voice of Sea World San Diego. He has also played guitar, sang and hosted the "Dolphin Discovery" show from 1996-2009. He is the show host of the new "Blue Horizons" dolphin show. He was the on-air DJ at multiple San Diego radio stations from 1981 to 2006. His voice also can be heard on many commercials and promotional pieces

His expertise includes long form narration or fast talking high intensity for commercials. He has the amazing ability to make every script sound interesting

Juan Diego

Graphic Artist

Juan is a creative Illustrator with more than 20 years of experience in education and youth illustrations. He has extensive training in traditional fine art techniques as well as digital art.

Juan has done illustrations for many household favorites. He is adept at creating a wide variety of characters and situations illustrating complex situations. He works in all different types of media.

Juan is also proficient in creating promotional materials, catalogs, logos, brochures and flyers. His technical savvy in n Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and 3Dmax is an asset to the team.
